Frequently Asked Questions

Please call us on 0402 476 261 if you cannot find an answer to your question.

We Open all our Laundromats at 6am. Check the Store site/webpage for closing, as some sites are open longer.

No, we are a Self-Service Laundromat only.

Pricing depends on machine size and cycle — our washers range from smaller loads up to 19kg (with select locations offering up to 27kg for bulky items like doonas), so cost varies with load size. Check the pricing display on the machine before you start, or call your nearest Superwash on 0402 476 261 if you'd like an estimate before you arrive.

At Superwash Laundry, we love our furry friends! To help keep your home machines clean and our standard washer's hair-free, we provide specialized machines specifically for your pet’s bedding and gear.

Do all Superwash locations have pet washing machines?

No, pet washing is available only at selected locations. You can find dedicated pet bedding washers at the following laundromats:

  • Capalaba Laundromat
  • Wellington Point Laundromat
  • Carina Laundromat
  • Tingalpa Laundromat
  • Logan West Laundromat

What items can I wash in the pet machines?

These industrial-grade machines are perfect for:

  • Dog and cat beds
  • Pet blankets and towels
  • Horse rugs and saddle pads
  • Pet clothing and harness gear

Can I use the regular washers for pet bedding?

No. We kindly ask that you only use the designated pet washing machines for any items heavily covered in animal hair or outdoor debris. This ensures our standard machines stay hygienic and hair-free for all other customers’ clothing and linens.

Do I need special detergent?

You can use your preferred detergent, but we recommend choosing a pet-safe, non-biological option if your pet has sensitive skin. Our machines provide a deep, industrial-strength clean to help remove stubborn odors and hair.

How do I pay for a pet wash?

Our pet machines feature the same convenient payment options as our standard units. You can use $1 and $2 coins or tap-and-go with your credit card, phone, or watch using the Nayax readers.

Pro Tip: If your pet's bed is particularly hairy, give it a quick shake or brush outside before bringing it into the store to ensure the best possible wash result! 🐾✨

Superwash operates 10 laundromats across South East Queensland — Carina, Gumdale, Tingalpa, Norman Park, Wellington Point, Capalaba, Cleveland, Eagleby, Logan West, and Tugun — covering Brisbane, the Redlands, Logan, and the Gold Coast. Find your nearest location on our Laundromats & Locations page.

Superwash Laundry locations are open from 6am to 9pm or later, seven days a week, including public holidays. Opening hours vary slightly by location, so check your nearest store's page for exact times, or call 0402 476 261 if you're not sure.

All our machines have a Card Reader installed, or you can use $1 or $2 Australian Coins.

We don't sell Tokens, and they will not work in our machines. Please only use Tokens where you bought them. If you try them, they will only get stuck and jammed in the coin mechanism. Don't be that guy or gal!

If the Card Reader says, "Transaction Cancelled" and you see a charge on your bank feed.

This is your bank holding the payment. It's not a charge from us. Check your bank's policy for how long they hold the payment before its released, which is usually the next business day.

The Card Reader will only send credits once it says, "Thank You" and you will be charged for this.

To avoid any confusion, please take your time when using the payment devices.

The Card Reader is solely a payment device. The more you pay, the more the card reader will process payments. Unfortunately, we cannot refund the surcharge charged by the card reader provider.

If you need assistance, please contact us by phone as soon as possible and provide details about which laundromat you are at, along with the machine number.

Our same-day service team will be ready to assist you to ensure you have the best experience possible.

The machine will not take your money unless you continue to pay. To avoid issues, please refer to the instructions available in the Store or on the machine control panel.

After Payment, ensure that you have used the control panel on the dryer to select the temperature and then you can press start.

For a washer, after payment, select the temperature and then press start.

If the Washer says "DOOR" on the control panel, the washer will not start. Make sure the door is closed and the handle is all the way down.

Once you have made a payment, wait 10seconds for the Card Reader to say, “Thank You.”

The payment credits then get transferred to the control panel.

Select the Temperature and press Start.

Please ensure that your credits match the amount you have paid for before walking away.

To apply unused credits, simply press the temperature or start button again.

If you press the controller before the card reader can send your credits to the controller, you might only get a portion of the credits applied. It's best to wait 10-20seconds after you pay. As above, press the temperature or start button again to get your remaining credits.

Please call us so we can assist you. If we miss your call please leave a message and also send a text message. We will get back to you as soon as possible to have you back on track so you can get your washing done.

If the Washer says "DOOR" on the control panel, the washer will not start. Make sure the door is closed and the handle is all the way down.

Press the Emergency Stop Button Straight Away, even if it's not your items. A leak is generally caused by washing being stuck in the door seal.

After the Emergency Stop Button has been pressed the machine will pump out the water.

Only once it stops will the screen say "open door" you can then fix the washing up and press Start. Note that you can only do this once during a cycle, or the washer will reset.

Please ensure that you close the door all the way or the air gap will cause the dryer not to heat. This is a user error not the machine. All Dexter Dryers work like this.

If you overload the dryer and don't have an air gap, this will take hours.

It's best to load the dryer no more than half full.

Some items can take an hour in the dryer. If you use low, it can take 2hrs.

Another one we see is that customers don't check whether the timer that matches what they paid for actually displays on the screen. Please read the dryer didn't give me enough credits above. This is the most common call we get, when we check back on the CCTV, the problem was the operation performed by the user.

Its Laundromat Etiquette to remove your washing from the machine as soon as its completed. We are not responsible for your washing. Other customers are allowed to remove your washing and place it nicely on the folding table

If you are unsure and need further assistance, please call us on 0402 476 261 and we will have your concern or assist you in the same day.
